Miguel Condé (Mexican, born 1939) lives and works in Sitges, Spain. He is a member of the French Society of Painters and Engravers. His mid-career retrospective was presented by the Spanish Ministry of Culture in Madrid, touring throughout Spain. Condé has received grants from the French government, the Smithsonian Institute and the John Simon Guggenheim Foundation. He is a Fellow of the MacDowell Foundation and was an artist-in-residence at the Cleveland Institute of Art. His solo exhibitions include the Cleveland Institute of Art, the National Library of Spain, the Conde Duque Centre in Madrid, the Scottish Arts Council and Art Basel in Switzerland. He was invited to participate in Documenta 6 in Kassel, Germany. He taught Drawing and Mixed Media at the University of Iowa School of Art.
