17.08.19 .- Qatar .- Doha is one hub in Middle East, more and more active for culture, sports, ... Qatar is tranforming into a modern society, whatever the blocus. One target is to be shining for the 2022 football worldcup, and stadiums are under construction in the same rythm as roads, bridges, high buildings on the coast.
Msheireb Museums located in the oldest part of the capital, not so far from the souk, form an important part of the Qatar's national history. It was great to discover some Qatar historic heritage, from the period when pearls were making the richess up to modern exchanges based on oil and gas. One exhibition is to raise awareness in the global abolition of human exploitation. Qatar stopped enslavment in 1952. More recently some children could be mistreated as jockeys in camel races, so robots were developped as jockeys. The museum is an opportunity to boost the fight against human trafficking and exploitation.

An other exhibition is Journey to the Heart of Life. Basic knowledge is presented in genetics and genomics in an interactive way. DNA is explored as the molecule of life and the genetic inheritance. Links are emphasised with the diversity of Qatar's origins and people. The exhibition is supported by Qatar Biobank and Sidra Medicine hospital.
